This is Small Sour, a small website kept by Amara. Home is a village at the end of a valley road, and most of these posts start there.
I write things down here so I stop making the same mistakes, which works about half the time. Percy is my crock, and turns up here a lot.
You'll see Percy, my crock, in most posts. The crock is called Percy, which made sense at the time.
I've been fermenting for two years now; it started with my grandmother, who never measured the salt showed me the basics. The short story is clearing out a relative's loft, about six years ago.
